Towne Point Community Neighbor Support
Towne Point Community is a thriving neighborhood filled with families and individuals who all come together to make it a great place to live. However, Towne Point has a special status. That is, everyone here is quite aware of all the YouTube videos regarding the likelihood of a major earthquake of the Washington Coast.
Actually, the likelihood is predicted to be a tremendous event that will emanate from a fault that runs from British Columbia to Southern California. It is due to announce its presence, well, over one hundred years ago.
This is the time and place where Towne Point Communities’ Neighbor Club idea was borne. This proposed club is dedicated to helping those in need within the community during the aftermath of a disaster. Neighbor involvement is crucial for fostering a sense of community and belonging. When neighbors come together to help one another, it creates a stronger bond within the neighborhood and allows for better integrated service with working communication.
A young woman from SE King County, Tracy, experienced with setting up a group exactly like the one we envision, passed this information on to me:
My community has an Emergency Preparedness Committee that has the same challenges.
It takes at least one enthusiastic champion with relentless dedication to keep people engaged, despite their apparent lack of interest.
